When I was younger there was absolutely no book that I wanted to read. If you asked me up until the age of about nine or ten I would have told you that I hated reading. In an attempt to intrest me in reading, my third grade teacher introduced me to the "Narnia" series. The first book that I really remember reading and thinking about how much I enjoyed, was The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Something about how these books were written made me feel like I could really see them happening. I almost felt like I was in the book. Needless to say it excited me even in my later years when I heard that they were coming out with the series in movie form.
